VOTE FOR BUB to help her win 20,000 pounds of free litter for shelters in need. You can still vote today AND tomorrow - you can do it here:
BUB is actually splitting the litter between two shelters - her very own Bloomington Animal Shelter, and also Oubache Felines and Friends in Terra Haute.
Oubache is in desperate need of help. They are a severely under-funded no-kill shelter in a low-income neighborhood. John was running it with his wife, but his she recently passed away and now he’s on his own. He doesn’t know how to use a computer, and he only has a landline phone. John’s a really special guy doing what he can to take care of and find homes for about 200 cats. He called me after reading about BUB in a magazine, and I’ve been trying to help him since. In fact, me, BUB and a friend from the Bloomington shelter visited him and the cats yesterday. 10,000 pounds of litter would be a HUGE help to him, and will help him free up some money to pay for food and shelter improvements. So please vote so we can hook this dude up with 10,000 pounds of litter.
He doesn’t have a website (yet), but if you’re interested in donating or helping him out, send me and BUB a message at bilbobubbins at gmail and I can give you his number. They are a certified 501c3.
Melbourne, Australia based visual artist Penny Byrne creates powerful political messages using vintage porcelain figurines and found objects. These darkly humorous figurines span a range of issue such as global politics, pop culture, and the environment. A well respected ceramics conservator, Byrnes meticulously forges her wonderfully twisted figurines with great precision.
Just glancing at the epic aerial shots above, you’d think they were captured by a professional photographer.
In fact, these amazing photos were taken by Wei Gensheng, a crane operator currently working in Shanghai.

New Whimsical Drawings by Sagaki Keita
Japanese artist Sagaki Keita recently updated his portfolio with a number of new works from 2012. Keita creates composite pen and ink illustrations using thousands of densely scribbled doodles, goofy characters seemingly born from the margins of notebook paper that then form everything from Roman statues to artworks from pop culture. Several of these illustrations are actually part of a commissioned campaign for Expedia from late last year.

A Janitor Secretly Worked On This For 7 Years. No One Knew Til Now… And It’s Baffling Everyone.
Over 30 years ago, a man spent 7 years hand-drawing the most complex, unbelievable and probably unsolvable maze I’ve ever seen. His daughter recently posted the following photos on Twitter and, needless to say, the entire Internet is exploding with questions about her dad.
So who is the man behind it? A professor? A mathematician? A wizard? No, no, and no. The correct answer is… the university janitor.
